Claire Forsyth

Claire trained at Glasgow School of Art, receiving First Class honours in Fine Art Printmaking. She worked for several years at London Print Studio before becoming Workshop Manager at Glasgow Print Studio. Her work has been shown in Berlin, London, Italy and New York.

 

Claire works in photography, drawing and printmaking to explore place, process, narrative and psychogeography. Her work ranges from screenprinted posters flyposted in site specific public areas to hyper fine multi-layer silkscreen prints, produced using very finely graded photo silkscreen exposures, which are printed in layers on top of each other. This process gives her work a distinctive and soft filmic look.
